It is a very moving.. That was not in the description. With a story line in which the person is experiencing something that she feels important to share , but needs to keep her location, name , etc. It bridges the gap between contemporary genre literature and YA with the story of a college senior who encounters some unforeseen circumstances at the end of his career. Rent, don't buy.. For normal people, I'd probably skip this book and read something more recent and better written.. This story has HIGH entertainment value. I can't wait to use this book in my AP World history classes! It is very well aligned with the AP Key Concepts and Historical Thinking Skills. There is a lot of valuable content in the book; however, it is overly verbose to the point of being bloated. For instance, a fine job of presenting the notion of rigorous mathematical proof. Received the book in a timely fashion, and in perfect condition, as described by seller.. While I certainly wouldn't take any of Tacitus' observations of Roman era Britain and Germany for fact; it is the fact of his very attempt to try to describe these foreign peoples and what he sees in them and how they make him reflect on his own people that comes through as honest and true. It certainly made the character seemed much more real and personable to me at least..
