She implies that the students are kept abreast of all of the goings on at her place thru her writings and conversations. What a sweet story.. A great book for those with an open mind and a sincere interest in contemporary art in all its, sometimes, challenging glory.. If I wonder about this , then I wonder about the truth of the entire book. I find myself putting the book down while I read just to absorb what is happening as the women's feelings and thoughts are so real to the reader.The story stretches over 18 years and the American continent from Maine to California. I loved the ending of this book. A excellent addition to my art library: the book itself is an artwork. Comprehensive, interesting and well-documented.. With so much excellent coverage already in print it is nice to be able to report that the latest monograph on the subject brings still more new and interesting visuals and stories of the fabled rail line to light.
