The way Kirk wanted to care for Shane and they way both men wanted to be with the other for the rest of their lives. There are way too many dreams about his tortured childhood. He provides an introduction to the similarities and differences in how people, from many cultures and eras, viewed and explained the sun, moon, planets and stars. The book is very comprehensive and descriptive of the V&t history.
